Wombid for ServiceM8

Finish the job in ServiceM8 as normal. Wombid asks your customer for an honest Google review. This page covers everything: connecting, what happens on each job, the built-in limits, and how to disconnect.

What the add-on does

When a job is marked Completed in ServiceM8, Wombid sends that job's customer one review request by text message, pointing at your Google review link. That is the whole workflow. There is nothing to install inside ServiceM8 and nothing new to learn on the tools: the add-on works in the background from the moment you connect.

Platforms: the add-on runs against your ServiceM8 account in the background. Your only interfaces are a one-step web activation page and your email inbox. It works no matter which ServiceM8 apps your team uses, because the trigger is the job status itself.

Before you connect

  1. An active Wombid Growth or Marketing Pro subscription. The add-on is free to install; it is part of Growth ($399 a month) and Marketing Pro ($899 a month), billed by Wombid, not through ServiceM8. Plans are at wombid.com.au/#pricing.
  2. Your Google review link, set up once. Your Wombid welcome email contains your personal setup link. Until that is done, nothing can be sent, because there is nothing to point customers at.

Connecting (one step)

  1. Open your activation link at sm8.wombid.com.au/activate (also in your welcome email).
  2. Sign in to ServiceM8 when asked. ServiceM8 shows you exactly what Wombid may access: your company information and read-only access to jobs and job contacts. A later store update will also request read-only job SMS, email and feedback history (read_sms, read_email, read_feedback), used only to avoid sending a second review request. Wombid cannot see invoices, payments, prices or staff details.
  3. Approve, and you land on a confirmation page showing the connected state and the limits below. Done.

If ServiceM8 is already sending review requests

ServiceM8 can send its own review requests. If we can see that happening, Wombid's sender stays off. We keep measuring completed jobs either way. You get at most one duplicated ask, ever.

To switch to Wombid: turn off ServiceM8's sender yourself, then email hello@wombid.com.au. We check the same history and switch ours on. We do not walk you through ServiceM8's settings, and there is no self-serve toggle.

How to choose

You can use ServiceM8's review requests, or Wombid's. You cannot usefully run both. If you already like ServiceM8's sender, leave it on and use Wombid for AI visibility. If you want Wombid to send the Google review text, it uses the limits on this page: 25 requests a day, a 30-day pause per customer, and STOP. Pick one sender. We will not run ours against theirs.

What happens after each job

  1. Your team marks a job Completed in ServiceM8, exactly as they already do.
  2. If Wombid's sender is on, Wombid checks the guardrails below, then texts the job's customer a short, honest request to leave you a Google review, with your review link. If ServiceM8 is already sending, this step does not run.
  3. Every request is recorded, so you can always see that exactly one was sent.

The built-in limits

What your customer receives

One short text message: your business name, a thank you for the job, and your Google review link. No marketing, no follow-up chase, and a clear way to opt out.

Disconnecting

From your confirmation page, or by emailing hello@wombid.com.au. Disconnecting takes effect immediately and deletes the stored access tokens, the account link and any queued requests. Jobs completed after that trigger nothing. You can reconnect any time from the same activation link.
